I saw a movie in the theater today. What!

Crazy, I know, but I went to a movie theater today for the first in a over a year. The movie was Zero Dark Thirty, the new movie about the search for Bin Laden from 2001 to 2011. It kept my interest for the entire 2 1/2 hours. Watching Americans torturing people was uncomfortable, but that was limited to the first thirty minutes or so. The movie's middle was spy stuff and politics with an enjoyable portrayal of CIA director Leon Panetta by James Gandolfini. The end was the Navy Seal mission that killed Usama Bin Laden. I was pleased that in the mostly full theater, I heard no one clap or cheer for Bin Laden's death scene. To me that would have been unseemly so soon after watching the Seals shoot to death the other adults in Bin Laden's house and then huddle the crying children into a room.
